Artwork from the “Golden fake” series, which explores the tension between appearance and truth - between what seems like value or success and what is in fact only their imitation.

“Mask IV” is not a portrait. It presents a surface shaped by experiences and emotions, where gold becomes a trace of what settles upon it. Some fragments reflect, others absorb, while others hold onto what has come from the outside. This is a mask on which different experiences appear side by side. What we see changes with the angle of view and with distance.

In darkness, the work reveals its second aspect - the contours begin to glow with their own light. This mask does not speak about perfection, but about how what we go through shapes us.

“Mask IV” is a spatial composition without a traditional canvas.
