Artwork from the “Golden fake” series, which explores the tension between appearance and truth - between what seems like value or success and what is in fact only their imitation.
“Drones passing over” presents a world in which the space above us is no longer neutral. Where birds once flew, drones now circle - organized, precise, operating within defined systems. They are close, they see more, they react faster. The figure remains centered. It does not react impulsively or get pulled into the movement. It is a conscious presence, functioning within a reality where observation and control have become part of everyday life. Drones can help and save lives, but they can also monitor and destroy. In themselves, they are neutral - it is the human who determines whether they become tools of support or control. This is an image about choice. About when to follow the system, and when to maintain one’s own perspective.
After dark, the image changes. Certain elements begin to glow with their own light, revealing what remains unseen during the day.
