The painting from the “Dreamvisions” series is an invitation into a world of dreams and symbols — somewhere between Alice’s Adventures in Wonderland by Lewis Carroll and The Red Book by Carl Gustav Jung. It is a journey through the unexpected pathways of imagination, rich with visions and hidden meanings. The use of UV-reactive elements allows the works to be viewed both in daylight and in darkness, offering an additional, unique dimension to each piece.
“Mock turtle soup” is a painting that balances on the edge of dream, myth, and psychoanalysis. On one hand, it references Sigmund Freud’s fascination with ancient Egypt; on the other, it draws on the absurd tale of the Mock Turtle from Alice’s Adventures in Wonderland, who, with melancholic seriousness, speaks of marine school and of being “the thing mock turtle soup is made from.” It’s a meeting of two worlds: deep analysis and nonsense, archetype and absurdity. The painting plays with the notion of authenticity—what is real, and what merely pretends convincingly? And might the false, at times, be more honest than the real.
"Mock turtle soup" is a spatial composition created without the use of a traditional canvas.
